Spectrum Live is the most uplifting and depressing thing to attend. There are so many amazing artists there who possess far more amazing skill than you will ever have, and yet, it’s overwhelming to see the amount of support made available to you as a fellow artist. We’re all in this together, and Spectrum is one of those events where it makes you feel like being an artist is a great thing. The appreciation from your peers and recognition for all the lonely work you’ve slaved over in the long nights and days, is reassuring and heartening. And it opens up so many doors for you. You leave with an open mind to new possibilities and skills.
It’s just great. It’s really great.
